I am a HUGE experience over objects person. I am the kind of person that has no problem spending 500$ on a weekend away, a day skydiving or a last minute train ride to see a friend for 2 hours. And by no means, this does not mean I am rich, have unlimited funds or can blow my money away however I want. I just much rather spend my hard earned money on experiences rather than objects.
One of my favorite experiences and past times is dining. From the moment you pick a restaurant, make a reservation, get ready to go out, arrive at the restaurant, examine the ambiance, pick your food, pair it with the perfect wine, take the first bite out of that amazing ginger-soy glazed mahi-mahi followed by a Vinho Verde you are in the moment, in the experience. That’s the shit I love! That moment the experience takes over your body and you forget that tomorrow is Monday and you have to go to work again.
Every time I eat tapas I have a similar experience. There is something about eating a dozen different bites of something, paired with an amazing wine and good company that I absolutely love. I would choose these experiences over that new Chanel bag any day. Of course, living in Sevilla I’ve had the opportunity to go try different tapas restaurants. Some awful, some amazing, some even better! Each experience was memorable and here is my list of 5 Best Tapas in Seville.
Mechela Restaurante
A very small cozy restaurant that’s not so easy to find. Hidden in the corners of the center this place has top notch food and amazing service. Be sure to come early or make a reservation, as there are only about 6 tables in the restaurant.Calle Bailén, 34, 41001 Sevilla

Bar La Catedral
The food here was a 3.5/5, the service mediocre, but what puts this place on the list is the view. This tapas place looks right at the Catedral, snag a seat outside and you’ll enjoy people watching in front of the biggest Gothic Cathedrals in Europe.Calle Mateos Gago, 5, 41004 Sevilla

La Brunilda Tapas
Just a short 10-minute walk from the Cathedral, this place puts several Michelin Star restaurants to shame. One of the more upscale tapas restaurants in Sevilla, with nice trendy sophisticated décor. A must visit, totally worth the wait.Calle Galera, 5, 41002 Sevilla

Alameda Rock (vegan)
It was so amazing to find a fully vegan place in Sevilla. I’m a pescatarian myself but do enjoy full veggie and vegan restaurants, as it’s easier when traveling. They have several other items on the menu other than just tapas, whichever choice you go with, the food was great. Do come early as they quickly run out, and they only take cash. Don’t leave without a healthy vegan dessert.Calle Crédito, 20, 41002 Sevilla

Eslava
Remember how I was talking about experiences. This is one of those experience places. This Michelin Rated Restaurant is everything I love about dining. From the amazing food to the crowded queue and bar. The food is out of this world and the service is great. Make a reservation and come with a few friends so you can literally try everything on the menu, you won’t be disappointed.Calle Eslava, 3, 41002 Sevilla
