La verdad es que no estoy pasando por un proceso fácil en este momento, y justamente por eso considero que el avance que he tenido con El Príncipe Cautivo ha sido algo maravilloso. De hecho, creo que este libro me ha ayudado muchísimo a no caer nuevamente en un bloqueo lector.
The truth is, I’m not going through an easy time right now, and that’s exactly why I think the progress I’ve made with The Captive Prince has been wonderful. In fact, I think this book has really helped me avoid falling back into a reading slump.
Desde hace bastante tiempo me ha costado terminar libros, y es algo que sinceramente me ha deprimido un poco, porque leer siempre ha sido una de las cosas que más disfruto. Por eso, encontrar una historia que realmente logre atraparme otra vez se siente emocionante y hasta reconfortante. Me hace feliz volver a sentir esas ganas de seguir leyendo capítulo tras capítulo.
For quite some time now, I’ve had a hard time finishing books, and honestly, that’s been a bit of a downer for me, because reading has always been one of the things I enjoy most. That’s why finding a story that really manages to draw me in again feels exciting and even comforting. It makes me happy to feel that urge to keep reading chapter after chapter once more.
En estos primeros capítulos he encontrado algo muy diferente a lo que estoy acostumbrada. Ya había leído antes a la autora, específicamente El Rey Oscuro, pero siento que esta historia tiene un enfoque distinto. Desde el inicio se percibe menos explícita y menos lasciva en el comportamiento de los personajes, y no me refiero únicamente a los protagonistas.
In these first few chapters, I’ve found something very different from what I’m used to. I’ve read this author before—specifically The Dark King—but I feel like this story takes a different approach. From the very beginning, the characters’ behavior feels less explicit and less lewd, and I’m not just talking about the main characters.
Algo que me está gustando muchísimo es la perspectiva de Damen. La autora logra que conectes con él desde el principio, entendiendo su posición, su confusión y también la manera en la que percibe todo lo que ocurre a su alrededor. Eso hace que la lectura se vuelva mucho más inmersiva.
One thing I'm really enjoying is Damen's perspective. The author makes you connect with him right from the start, helping you understand his situation, his confusion, and the way he perceives everything happening around him. That makes the reading experience much more immersive.
También me genera muchísima intriga la forma en la que se desarrollará la relación entre los protagonistas. Admito que al principio la dinámica entre ellos puede parecer bastante bizarra o incluso incómoda, pero como empecé el libro sabiendo que sería un enemies to lovers, realmente no me molesta. Al contrario, creo que esa tensión inicial es justamente parte de lo fascinante.
I'm also really intrigued by how the relationship between the main characters will develop. I admit that at first the dynamic between them might seem pretty bizarre or even awkward, but since I started the book knowing it would be an enemies-to-lovers story, it doesn't really bother me. On the contrary, I think that initial tension is exactly what makes it so fascinating.
Y creo que eso es lo que más me está atrapando: sentir que estoy leyendo algo nuevo para mí, algo distinto a lo habitual, pero que al mismo tiempo logra mantenerme completamente interesada en hacia dónde va la historia.
And I think that's what's really drawing me in: the feeling that I'm reading something new to me, something different from the usual, but that at the same time keeps me completely hooked on where the story is going.
