Today I am super happy because I managed to get the Gold medal with my team, in the BisFed 2018 Boccia World Open in Portugal. I feel so proud because we have fought so hard to come to this result. The road was difficult and sometimes hard to go through, but we showed so much willpower and the determination to climb to the top. And yes we did it! Gold medal for Greece.
As I said before, to come to this point we had to pass so many difficult games and we won them all. The first game what was in the morning with Belgium, which was going to close it who is the wonderful score 8-1 and so one of the best teams, that of Belgium was disqualified. The second game we won was against United Kingdom, which we won 6-2, and so we left behind one of our strongest opponent of all times. In the semi-finals we played against Poland and we were so afraid because Poland has a great team. But God was on our side and would beat them with the wonderful score 8-0. The most difficult match was the final match with Canada. What's a great team it was! Each end we managed to get only one point because they had wonderful defending skills, so it was really hard to get score with difference. After a tight and difficult game we want us to win 4 -1 and climb to the top. I am so happy we did it because once again I believe that God has heard my players.
