Good morning my dear #Hive friends. This weekend I decided to dedicate myself to gardening and reorganize my garden a bit, which was quite abandoned. I could not complete the task completely because there is a lot of work to do, but I did manage to restore many plants that were mistreated and change the fertilizer to others that already had practically loose roots. I will give you a summary of what I managed to do yesterday, and next week I will continue this work until the entire reorganization is complete.
Buenos días mis queridos amigos de #Hive. Este fin de semana decidí dedicarme a las labores de jardinería y reorganizar un poco mi jardín que lo tenía bastante abandonado. La labor no la pude realizar por completo porque hay bastante trabajo por hacer, pero si logré restaurar muchas plantas que estaban maltratadas y cambiarles el abono a otras que ya tenían las raíces prácticamente sueltas. Les haré un resumen de lo que alcancé a hacer ayer, y la semana próxima continuaré esta labor hasta culminar toda la reorganización.

I had a lot of metal baskets in storage that were rusty, I took them out of storage, washed them and painted them with white oil paint to start planting hanging plants in them, I have several selected, some ferns and other very nice ones, but I still have more to go, so a visit to a nursery in the city awaits me to buy hanging plants and the moriche basket that is placed inside the metal basket in order to plant them.
Tenía muchas cestas metálicas guardadas que estaban oxidadas, las saqué del depósito, las lavé y las pintamos con pintura de aceite blanca para comenzar a sembrar en ellas plantas que cuelguen, tengo varias seleccionadas, algunos helechos y otras muy bonitas, pero aún me faltan más, así que me espera una visita a algún vivero de la ciudad para comprar plantas colgantes y la cesta de moriche que se coloca dentro de la cesta metálica para así poder sembrarlas.

Last week I took advantage of the fact that a traveling compost vendor passed by the house and I bought several sacks of special compost for my ferns made with pieces of moriche. This fertilizer is always kept moist and is the special ingredient for ferns because it keeps them well hydrated. I mixed part of the moriche with compost that was left over from other plants that had been damaged, and I also added a little black soil. Next week I will prepare a compost bin with the solid waste from some meals, and I will share it with you. At the moment I restored some plants with this mixture alone, I placed moriche base at the bottom of the pots before planting them, and then the mixture of the three fertilizers on top. Later I will tell you how the evolution of these plants that I restored yesterday is going. Among those replanted are: Ferns, lilies, and some medicinal plants such as oregano (ornamental and medicinal), acetaminophen, and aloe.
La semana pasada aproveché que un vendedor de abono ambulante pasó cerca de la casa y le compré varios sacos de abono especial para mis helechos elaborado con trozos de moriche. Este abono se mantiene siempre húmedo y es el ingrediente especial para los helechos porque los mantiene bien hidratados. Una parte del moriche la mezclé con abono que me quedó de otras plantas que se habían dañado, y también le agregué un poco de tierra negra. La próxima semana prepararé un compostero con los desechos sólidos de algunas comidas, y se los compartiré. Por el momento restauré algunas plantas con esta mezcla nada más, coloqué base de moriche al fondo de los materos antes de plantarlas, y luego la mezcla de los tres abonos por encima. Más adelante les contaré cómo va la evolución de estas plantas que restauré ayer. Entre las replantadas están: Helechos, lirio, y algunas plantas medicinales como orégano (ornamental y medicinal), acetaminofén, y sábila.
