Hola a todos, feliz tarde. Cuando tengo que hablar de mascotas, realmente considero que es uno de los momentos más terapéuticos que tengo. ¿El porqué? Es porque soy mamá perruna y mamá gatuna muy entregada, y amo cada momento de su evolución, me divierto con sus ocurrencias, y disfruto la convivencia con ellos… puedo decir sin temor a e1quivocarme, que cada uno tiene su propia personalidad, porque no sé de qué otra manera describir las características genuinas de cada uno.
Ahora mismo la tropa está conformada por seis (6) mascotas; dos perros y cuatro gatos. Los gatos todos son machos, y hay una perrita en la tropa que está recién rescatada, o sea, ella es la princesa de la casa en este momento. A un año y tres meses del rescate de Chiqui, llega Blanquita Carolina para voltearles la vida a todos estos hombrecitos, pero lo más importante de todo, llegó para alegrarle los días a Snoopy que se sentía solito después de la muerte de Lucrecia.
Blanquita fue rescatada hace dos meses, tenía aproximadamente 6 meses, y por tener esa edad, aun sigue siendo traviesa e inquieta. Literalmente, estoy educándola, pero lo que me gustó, fue que hasta los territoriales se adaptaron a ella, y en estos dos meses han llevado una convivencia tranquila.
Hablando de personalidades, Snoopy es el inquieto pero el más dulce. Se lleva bien con todos, y tiene una tolerancia envidiable. Siempre intentaba jugar con los gatos, pero ellos son tan especiales que el pobrecito salía arañado y se iba. Ahora con Blanquita, el día es de juegos desde que comienza hasta que se van a dormir. Descansan un rato, y vuelven a la carga. Yo disfruto viéndolos jugar como niños.
Nevado, ya saben que es mi gatito especial con un problema congénito, y es la inocencia andante. Le da lo mismo jugar solo con el aire o jugar con Chiqui que es el único afín con él. Lupe es el más territorial, celoso, malcriado y posesivo de todos, es el que mama dedito, y toma venganza contra los otros cuando están cerca de mí, jajajaja. Lucky es mi viejito, un poco amargado, sólo le gusta estar conmigo pero no es celoso con los demás si se me acercan, él es bastante seguro de mi cariño. Y Chiqui es el más pequeño de los gatos, se lleva bien con toda la manada, es un terremoto siempre activo, no descansa de hacer travesuras, y corre por todos lados sin parar, pareciera que la batería jamás se le descarga. Le encanta dormir sobre mi almohada.
Las horas de juego son para sentarse a observar cómo se divierten entre ellos y sus ocurrencias, pero las horas de dormir son una dulzura. Tener mascotas no es sólo el hecho de tenerlas, alimentarlas, y cuidarlas… sino el amor recíproco que podemos recibir de ellos, y lo bien que se siente teniéndolos cerca.

Hello everyone, happy afternoon. When I have to talk about pets, I truly consider it one of the most therapeutic moments I have. Why? It's because I'm a very devoted dog and cat mom, and I love every moment of their development, I'm amused by their antics, and I enjoy living with them… I can say without fear of being wrong that each one has their own personality, because I don't know how else to describe the genuine characteristics of each one.
Right now, the pack consists of six (6) pets; two dogs and four cats. The cats are all males, and there's a female dog in the pack who was recently rescued, so she's the princess of the house at the moment. A year and three months after Chiqui's rescue, Blanquita Carolina arrived to turn the lives of all these little men upside down, but most importantly of all, she came to brighten Snoopy's days, who felt lonely after Lucrecia's death.
Blanquita was rescued two months ago; she was about six months old, and at that age, she's still mischievous and restless. I'm literally training her, but what I loved was that even the territorial cats adapted to her, and in these two months, they've lived together peacefully.
Speaking of personalities, Snoopy is the restless one, but also the sweetest. He gets along with everyone and has enviable tolerance. He always tried to play with the cats, but they're so particular that the poor thing would end up scratched and leave. Now, with Blanquita, the day is all about playing from dawn till dusk. They rest for a while and then start up again. I enjoy watching them play like children.
Nevado, as you know, is my special kitten with a congenital condition, and he's pure innocence. He's just as happy playing alone as he is playing with Chiqui, who's the only one he's compatible with. Lupe is the most territorial, jealous, spoiled, and possessive of them all. He's the one who sucks my thumb and gets revenge on the others when they're near me, hahaha. Lucky is my old man, a bit grumpy. He only likes being with me, but he's not jealous of the others if they approach me; he's quite secure in my affection. And Chiqui is the smallest of the cats. He gets along well with the whole pack. He's a whirlwind, always active, never stopping his mischief, and he runs everywhere nonstop; it seems like his battery never runs out. He loves to sleep on my pillow.
Playtime is for sitting back and watching them have fun and their antics, but bedtime is pure bliss. Having pets isn't just about having them, feeding them, and taking care of them… it's about the reciprocal love we can receive from them and how good it feels to have them around.
