How To Save Money
Who doesn't want to have their own savings or extra funds that can be used on a rainy day? Everyone wants that! But putting aside funds is always hard if you don't have the discipline & an easy guideline to follow. So here are a few tips that could help you on the long run!
1) Be careful when spending on the 'small' things.
Most people would prefer to overlook the importance of making a long term investment for their future but would easily spend their excess funds on the little things! Well as we all say in Malaysia, 'sikit-sikit, lama-lama jadi bukit', which translates 'the small things would eventually turn big if accumulated in the long run'.
2) Focus on the future while living in the present.
It's relatively easy to spend on things that would bring instant satisfaction or gratification. After getting what you wanted, what else would that certain item grant you if you've already bored of it?
3) Don't buy things that are deemed uneccessary.
Whilst it would certainly bring us great joy if we manage to set aside funds to buy items, what more can it give us if the main reason for the purchase is only for showing off to our colleagues/friends. In the end, you'd probably sell the item to other people anyway. So what's the use in that?
4) Make a list on your spending.
It would help in the long run if you know what you spent with your funds. Make a list, write down every purchase that you've made for future references. Microsoft Excel is only a click away!
5) Invest intelligently!
Go to your local bank, ask for guidance & tips on what to invest your funds on. And when you've gotten your returns, put the dividends aside to further increase your savings. Or, just invest it on Steem!😄
6) Don't be afraid to bargain/haggle!
You have to resist on directly paying the full amount, don't be afraid to ask for discounts because you won't get one if you don't ask first!
Hopefully these few tips will help you in achieving your financial goals. Every cent counts!
