OSD - Helping empower Steem's future middle class

One of the main pilars in Operation Curation & Decentralization (@OCD) is transparency, so this post is not meant to explain to you what Operation Slider Delegation (@OSD ) is or why was it created, or why it will help to distribute a small part of the reward pool to good content creators. This post is here to be open about how this project will run, and general information about it.

The selection process

Every Sunday we take a break from curating in Hive account@ocd, and we also use that day to whitelist to Hive account@ocdb all the curated authors during the week.

Out of these 60 curated authors, we will pick 5 of them who have under 500 SP, are not powering down, post at least 2-3 times a week and engage in other people´s content.

We will delegate to these 5 people enough SP to get them to 500 SP so they are able to use the voting slider.

If any given sunday there are not enough authors who fill this criteria, we will manually select plankton users from a batch that the Hive account@ocd curators came up with through a nomination process, and we will instead delegate to them.

Discord channel

We have a specific OSD channel in the OCD discord server that is private, this is to avoid spam from other users and for us to be constantly in touch with the OSD Delegatees.

On this channel we will answer any question these recently created minnow users may have, advice them on posting behaviour and curation process and to have an overall semi-control of the direction of project.

As you can read in the official announcement, we will be curating these user's posts, both with the Hive account@ocd-witness accounts and with Hive account@aicdyo's and my account. This means that the Hive account@osd'ers posts should follow certain Parameters, so quality, frequency and way of posting will be discussed on this channel, not as an enforcement but more as an advice type of conversation.

Welcome message

As I said, as the OSD channel will be private and only OSD members and OCD moderators will be able to access it, for transparency reasons I'll post here the welcome message, a message that every OSD member will read when they join the channel:

Hello and welcome to OSD! Congratulations on getting your Steem Power delegation. As you may have noticed, you now have 500 SP and now you are able to use your voting slider.
Instead of only being able to give 10 votes per day, this slider feature will allow you to vote on more posts every day and your engagement on the platform will be maximized. We reccomend that at these prices, you cast 50% votes on the posts you like, but the weight of the votes it's completely up to you, just don't forget to leave comments on the posts you liked!
Your posts will be manually curated by part of the Hive account@ocd team, so don't bother on selfvoting, it's better to spread that love around and to build your audience and make friends, a good way to do it is by voting on other people's content.
The purpose of OSD is to help you reach 500 Steem Power on your own, so please keep posting amazing and high quality content like the one you got curated by Hive account@ocd so we can manually curate it with Hive account@ocd-witness, Hive account@acidyo and Hive account@anomadsoul's account :)
Once you reach 500 SP on your own, we will pull the remaining amount of delegation we gave you, but you will still have your OSD role on our discord channel and you will still be able to chat here, we highly encourage you to make friends here and to be active here, after all, all of these users share one thing: you are all amazing content creators.
As part of OSD, you are on the whitelist and thus, you are able to use Hive account@ocdb to boost your posts, just remember to use it only on high quality posts!
