Greetings fellow Steemians,
After posting about my first mining experiences using NiceHash, I have now moved on to directly mining LiteCoin using Give Me Coins pools and the MultiMiner utility. So, I had originally thought my problems were due to some .Net exception errors I had encountered but turns out that was not the case. The actual culprit was that I had me pools misconfigured.
First of all, I required an account on https://give-me-coins.com and creating that was easy enough. It is fairly self explanatory. Create an account, configure a worker/password and wallet. You may use one of the pools on the following guide.

I downloaded the portable executable for MultiMiner via the following URL and open it up.
Next, I configure my pools and here is what I did wrong initially.
I didn't know that "stratum+" should have been removed. I was wondering why my worker was displaying as inactive in Give Me Coins!
Now, I am happily mining but the hashrate is nowhere near what I had on NiceHash which I believe was mostly mining Ethereum from what it seemed.
I still get these errors when I start mining; however, so not sure if it may be affecting my hash rate. Here is the graph. Maybe the rate is typical for my hardware but I don't have a reference at the moment.
In any case, I am well pleased with the progress I have made thus far. I plan to look into pools for other coins and experimenting to find which may be the most profitable. I hope this may help someone else. Happy Mining! I bid everyone good night and day! Until next time 🙂
