The main element is a vase containing a bouquet composed of: several tulips, recognizable by their characteristic cup shape; a sprig of lavender or a spike flower reaching upwards to the right, adding verticality and movement; and roses or round, more fully opened flowers. The tabletop is simple and flat, while the body of the table is treated with vertical and cross-hatching to suggest wood or a textured effect. The lower part of the piece of furniture is treated with vertical and cross-hatching to suggest the grainy texture of the wood.
Technique and Style

The wooden base is depicted with fairly dense hatching to convey texture. The style of the drawing is semi-naive realism. The rendering remains simple and spontaneous. The bouquet is well-centered, and the base provides a solid and stable foundation.
