Hello, hivers, I'm pretty excited to finally get to craft something for my blog, I must confess it has not been easy over these past few weeks as I moved from one challenge to another with the most recent which was me falling sick and getting admitted for about a week in this COVID-19 era.
ABOUT ME.
Now that I am much better, I think I do not need to prolong this introductory post to this lovely community after a failed attempt last week. My names are Victor Antigha Essien, I discovered steemit about 2 years ago when I was checking out for a website that could brush me up and help me to write quality essays for my IELTS exams back then.
I am popularly known as on the blockchain, a name that is not too difficult to figure out as it was coined from one of my names. I am a Christian who was born on the 8th of April somewhere in Cross River state. I am a Nigerian and I am a licensed practicing medical doctor in Nigeria. I currently work at Federal Neuro-Psychiatry Hospital Calabar, Nigeria.
MY BLOGGING JOURNEY.
I didn’t know I had stumbled upon a crypto community that had very interesting people within. I got the basics of steemit from these lovely steemians ,
,
,
,
,
,
,
via the webinar they organized on WhatsApp in 2017 and I was made to understand that the first thing to put up on a blog back then was an introductory post telling the community about yourself. It wasn’t hard to blend in and learn about this new ecosystem as I spent time learning about the rudiments of the platform. Looking at the introduction post I made, I don’t think so much has changed over these few years.
I got to interact and discover other great steemians like ,
and got to join so many communities where I learned from the community members. It wasn’t long before I discovered the medical community (
) in which I later became the community manager, I also got to discover the science community (
) and a couple of other interesting communities. I created good content and also curated other interesting content I came across. I also got to learn the politics revolving around the steemit blockchain and got interested in other blockchains.
In summary, steem was the best thing that happened to me, because it also helped to shape my career path in medicine by helping me choose mental health as a subspecialty that I am now specializing in.
HIVE EXPECTATIONS
With the brush up by ,
and
, HIVE looks pretty much like steemit in many ways, the community, the great contents, and curators, etc. I am hoping I should be able to add value to HIVE with my content that I would be crafting once in a while because of my tight schedule on my blog. I am also hoping to grow on HIVE and meet more interesting people here and also get to learn from everyone.
I always know that every encounter in my life’s journey is always an opportunity for me to learn because I know I may never have that opportunity if I am careless with it.
