Hey, .
How’s it going?
Why do you think God created Sunday morning? Or was it not God? Precisely! The calendar was invented by the ancient Egyptians.
In my understanding, Sunday mornings are designed for walking a dog through the woods. This time I decided not just to walk, but to hunt shadows in the forest.
I haven't been in this forest since last fall. This is a forest that grew on spent soil removed from a stone quarry. I have been living in this area for 35 years, and this forest has already been in that place, and it seems to have stopped developing. The trees do not grow because the soil consists of clay and calcareous stone.
You can't even hear birds singing in this forest, and this surprised me at first, but later I realized that there is no food for them here, so they don't fly here. Basically, all the trees are coniferous, but they are small in size, and there are no cones on them. I don't see any berry bushes in this forest either.
This place has become very popular among young people. Someone even marked it on the Yandex map as "Witch's Mountain". 5 years ago, I brought my wife and daughter here, and they couldn't find it without my help. Now, motorcyclists and cyclists have created a well-trodden path through this area and even set up a designated rest area. Young guys love risky descents from this mountain.
My Sunday walk dragged on both in time and distance. I decided to go down the mountain and walk to the river. 12 years ago, during vacation, my wife decided to come to this place every morning to do morning exercises. Now I can't force her to go out for a walk with me. She has a great excuse - I want to sleep.
Hedgehog, it's been a long time since I've met these prickly guys. Or is it a girl? But that's another story.
, how do you like my forest shadows?
