I'm getting almost zero comments on an account with over 3500 followers plus I've helped create a community and am decently connected to a bunch of active users and I know a lot of those are bots and inactive, though.. Feels a bit quieter recently. I see similar on other peoples pages too. Makes me feel really bad for a lot of people who are just getting started!
Plus steem remaining so low in value when so many of us thought it would be so much higher by now. Though.. I remember back when steem was below $1 and I would post numerous times a day and barely ever made anything.. For what seemed like months and months.. Yet.. I kept posting.. And it paid off... I have a feeling this time will be similar.
If you're worried about steemit, I am a lil bit too.. Though I still feel very confident in it long term and I personally think it'll be around 10-15 years or more. I could be wrong, but that's how I feel. And I'd be happy even if it just stayed around $1 in value.. That would be awesome to see an alternate currency spring up that works and that allows people all over the world to earn more from their computers or phones or where ever.
I have a feeling you'll be pretty happy if you stick through the tough times.
I can't say for sure.. And I've seen some sketchy weird questionable things during my time here, but in the end.. I think the positives outweigh all the bads and.. I have a feeling there will be good times again. :)
Despite some of the controversy especially surrounding SMT's and such, I've seen enough behind the scenes and met enough witnesses and talked to influential people and watch them talk amongst each other, that I really doubt this is all just going to fall apart any time soon.. It could! I admit.. I don't know.. Maybe I'm missing something, though.. I really do think it's going to be around for a long time. :)
So if you're feeling a bit uncertain about things, that's good! It's good to be skeptical and questioning. However, some of these things tend to work in cycles.. And values go up and down and up and down and up and down.. So.. If we're going down, hopefully it's only a matter of time till we go back up again. ._.
Either way, whatever the case. Even if somehow steemit crashed and I lost everything and didn't make one single penny.. It would still have been worth it to meet all the awesome people I've met and to learn all the fascinating things I've learned.
That's another tip for any newer people.. If you look at it more in the light of just trying to socialize and meet people and talk and make friends and learn, rather than making money.. You'll probably end up making more money in the long term..
I did all this kinda stuff for free before money was an element, so it's easy for me to retain that mindset and be happy I'm making anything at all and my account is worth anything at all compared to the zero money from this kind of stuff I was making before.
I think this is similar in other realms as well.. Though at the very least, I think it's important to enjoy what you do.. So.. If you're not making as much money as you'd like or getting as much feedback from people, remember to just enjoy the process of creating, whatever form it may be..
Whether writing or photography or whatever.. Just enjoy creating and putting out more content and evolving and growing and, I think you'll probably make more money in the long run and end up getting more feedback also than if you focus too much on making money/external results.
And with that I think I'm done for now, hope this helped someone.. I hope someone actually even read it. Lol. :) But if not.. I'll still be around for a while.. I have a lot of faith in this place, and I feel like we're still sorta just getting started.
