Hello Hive Community
Hope you are all doing well. This is my art entry into the Hive Creative Curation Contest created by Snibby the Cat. You can see the post by here:
I missed last week's contest, was too busy, but will participate in this week's one and try to participate in the ones thereafter.
My submission is a another portrait that I was practicing on:
Portrait - No Color:
For my previous portraits, I used a lot of color, now I am practicing to see the effects of a poratrait with no color. You would think that no color portraits are quicker to complete, but I actually ended up using similar amounts of time. Sometimes, color is easier to complete the portrait.
I am still using the same drawing tablet: Huion h610 pro v2
Here are the steps:
Step 1: Rough Sketch of the drawing:
The rough sketch does not have to be detailed - it just needs to make sure that the general outlines are correct.
Step 2: Adding is some tones
Normally this is the step where I put in some base colors. However since there is no color, this is where I start adding some tones.
Step 3: Adding details
This is the step that took the longest, as I had to make sure that the tones and shadows are capture to make the portrait more realistic
Step 4: Refining, changing hair style
Changed the hairstyle a bit to see the effects. Now just a background.
Final:
Hope that you enjoyed go through the post.
