Tomorrow, 7 September 2021, is both Jewish New Year (Rosh HaShanna) and the date that Bitcoin becomes legal tender in El Salvador.

This is a revolutionary event for the world, not just El Salvador.
Being legal tender in El Salvador makes BTC a foreign currency under the existing tax and other financial laws of many countries, including Australia and Israel.
It also means that any attack on Bitcoin by tyrannical nations will be an attack on another sovereign state.
El Salvador may be a relatively small, poor country today, but given a few years of being a center for crypto entrepreneurship and attracting investment and talent from the cryptocosm, things will change quickly.
"Legacy Brand countries" like the USA, Australia, Canada and much of Western Europe are becoming increasingly tyrannical, destroying hard won freedoms and creating huge social unrest in a misguided effort to "protect" their citizens from everything.
The end result is destruction of everything that made these countries desirable in the first place.
So this New Year I am praying for the success of El Salvador's Bitcoin experiment and for freedom to be restored to the world.
