The Syrian Arab Army with its allies are now combing the streets of Maarat Numan for any remnants of NATO's al-Qaeda terrorists and engineering units are already inching the entire city for explosives left behind by the defeated terrorists.
Maarat Numan is the second largest city in Idlib province after Idlib city itself, and was the main launchpad of al-Qaeda and other terrorist groups against the provinces of Hama, Latakia, Tartous and also north towards Aleppo.
Damascus - Aleppo International Highway goes right through the city.
