My imagination has no limitation for steemit :)
Imagine that you can login into your steemit account and trade steem , BTC and some good Altcoin , man that will be cool . Actually i think expanding trading in steemit from only STEEM & SD to add BTC and some good Altcoin specially if trading based mainly on steemit that will effect steemit even in a better way .
Possible advantages
1 - That will attract daily and swing trader , without a doubt trading and steeming in same time will be less stressful and maybe joyful in social media with good percentage of people who already know well about cryptocurrency .
2 - It will encourage steemian to trade and as i mentioned they will use mainly steemit to trade , this will
3 - Increase total market cap witch may give more value to STEEM or at least help decrease price volatility .
4 - As this trading platform grow , it will give a new value to STEEM , i mean it used now as social media operator ( power up ) and like other coin for investing ( holding long term ) but new value will added as trading coin in a large scale .
Someone could say "steemit still in beta phase 
" ! well so do i :) . I am a believer in blockchain and the decentralization concept behind it , but i know nothing about coding so i don't know if this applicable from development point of view and not sure about technical difficulty could make this just a dream .
Steemit trading platform ( STEEMTRADE ) , a dream that i hope will come true in 2017 .
