What better place to be at 6:00 am than down by the ocean taking photos? I shot this using the Pentax Ks-2, and a vintage 28mm lens I found for $3 at a thrift store. Just before sunrise, I took a series of about 60 exposures, which I merged to created the blurred water effect. I blended that with an image exposed for the sun as it was rising, an image exposed for the sky, and an image focused and exposed for the the rocks in the foreground. It's one of the more complex composites I've done, but I'm pleased with the result. Let me know in the comment section whether you think all that post-processing was worth it.
