It's been quite a while since I wrote my last post. This time I continued my coffee shop hunting again and found this cool and unique cafe that looks more like a vintage/antique art gallery rather than coffee shop. The place is called Joco Coffee, located in Cilandak, South Jakarta the place is not difficult to find but if you go here by car, the parking space is kinda limited. So, the first impression when I saw the front look design was it so Balinese style/vibe which I'm sure will be cool. I came around 4 pm and the weather was a bit dark and cloudy, seems its going to be rain soon which I found the condition really match and improved the vibe.

So, I walked in and was greeted friendly by Barista, a friendly old lady which seems to be the owner. The first thing in my mind when I saw the interior is "the owner must be an artsy person and passionate in antiques/vintage stuff", the picture below clearly represent the owner taste and character.

I looked at their menu and was amazed at how various the options from drinks to food and interesting facts, they also served alcohol contained coffee such as Irish Coffee, Espresso Martini, etc.

I ordered the Italian Iced Coffee: espresso and milk-based served with vanilla ice cream as a topping. While waiting for my drink to be prepared, I looked around the place to discover more. They have 3 floors which are divided to be the ground for the front desk and seating area, 2nd floor for another seating area and there is a large table that can be reserved for meetings/event and 3rd floor which is rooftop for outdoor chill seating area. But, as the weather was going to rain soon, the rooftop was empty and the seats were still lifted as there were nobody goin to sit there for a while.

When I came back down to the ground floor, my Italian Iced Coffee has ready. At the same time, a friendly guy in his 50's just arrived and greeted everyone on the room and turned out to be one of the owner as well. He also greeted me and we both then had a little chat about our interest in coffee, after he found out if I'm a coffee addict, he then offered me to add extra espresso on my Italian Iced Coffee as it would add more flavor and tasted better, what a great owner !!

Nice chat, cozy vintage vibe, a glass of delicious iced coffee and the rain outside which created a relaxing vibe became a combination of a great experience I had in this place and made up my day. That's the short story I could share this time and looking forward to come back again to try the different menu and for sure...chill andenjoyg the vintage vibe, cheers !
