En el segundo semestre de enfermería tenemos diversas materias como carga académica, entre estas destaca materno infantil I es una materia que requiere de una estricta formación teórica para poder pasar a las prácticas ya que se requiere desenvolver y explorar ciertas habilidades al momento de entrar a sala de partos y trabajar en conjunto con la paciente que dará a luz y con su recién nacido.

In the second semester of nursing we have various subjects as academic load, among these stands out maternal and child I is a subject that requires a strict theoretical training to be able to pass to the practices since it is required to develop and explore certain skills at the time of entering the room delivery and working together with the patient who will give birth and her newborn.

Cabe mencionar que el área de sala de partos no solo se encarga de aquellas mujeres que darán a luz, si no también que existen algunas áreas dentro del servicio que son especiales para cumplir curas o legrados por abortos ya sean espontáneos o voluntarios, también cuenta con quirófanos especializados para realizar las cesáreas, áreas donde se pueden realizar ecosonogramas abdominales de emergencia y el área de recuperación.

It is worth mentioning that the delivery room area not only takes care of those women who will give birth, but also that there are some areas within the service that are special to carry out cures or curettage for abortions, whether spontaneous or voluntary, it also has specialized operating rooms to perform cesarean sections, areas where emergency abdominal echo-sonograms can be performed, and the recovery area.

Al entrar por primera vez a sala de partos la emoción me conmovió, y para ser sincera fue allí cuando decidí que quería ser enfermera. Sucede que en el primer semestre de la carrera no me fue muy bien ya que yo no decidí estudiar de forma voluntaria enfermería si no que tomé la carrera como alternativa mientras veía que podía hacer con mi vida.

When I entered the delivery room for the first time, I was moved by emotion, and to be honest it was there that I decided I wanted to be a nurse. It happens that the first semester of the degree did not go very well for me since I did not decide to study nursing voluntarily, but I took the degree as an alternative while I saw what I could do with my life.

El primer parto que atendí fue el de una madre que dio a luz un varón, aún recuerdo su peso de 3.600 kilogramos ya que era muy grande para mis pequeños brazos. El parto fue atendido en conjunto con una compañera de estudio, ambas nos dividimos el trabajo compartiendo así al mismo recién nacido y haciendo los cuidados de manera rápida y cautelosa. Cumplimos con el registro completo de documentos tanto del recién nacido como de la madre, además de realizar los cuidados al bebé como lo fue mantener la permeabilidad de sus vías aéreas y su vía anal, mantener su termorregulación, administrar oxígeno, vitamina K y gotas oftálmicas para prevenir infecciones futuras.

The first birth I attended was that of a mother who gave birth to a boy, I still remember his weight of 3,600 kilograms as he was too big for my little arms. The delivery was attended together with a study partner, both of us divided the work thus sharing the same newborn and doing the care quickly and cautiously. We comply with the complete registration of documents for both the newborn and the mother, in addition to caring for the baby such as maintaining the patency of their airways and anal, maintaining their thermoregulation, administering oxygen, vitamin K and eye drops to prevent future infections.

Al momento de haber realizado los cuidados de enfermería inmediatos en el recién nacido se deja un pequeño tiempo en una incubadora mientras se prepara a la madre para ser trasladada a recuperación , luego de ésto se le entregará el recién nacido a su respectiva madre.

At the time of having carried out immediate nursing care in the newborn, a short time is left in an incubator while the mother is prepared to be transferred to recovery, after this the newborn will be delivered to its respective mother.

Es un momento muy hermoso ya que puedes observar la felicidad que se demuestra en el rostro de la madre y toda la emoción que libera en el ambiente al ver a su pequeño bebé, el hecho de solo ver eso te alegra el día ya que eres tú quien se encargó de que su pequeño niño tuviera los cuidados necesarios e inmediatos luego de su nacimiento.

It is a very beautiful moment since you can see the happiness that is shown on the mother's face and all the emotion that she releases in the environment when she sees her little baby, just seeing that makes your day happy since it is you who took care that her little boy had the necessary and immediate care after his birth.

Enfermería se encarga de brindar los cuidados inmediatos al recién nacido luego de que la madre haya dado a luz, a su vez se encarga de cuidar al recién nacido mientras se prepara a su madre para ir a recuperación. También cabe mencionar que es la encargada de llevar un control y registro de los documentos necesarios como lo son el nombre, apellidos, fecha y hora de nacimiento, talla, peso y todas las circunferencias (cefálica, torácica y abdominal), debe llevar un registro de pisadas en 6 páginas diferentes.

Nursing is responsible for providing immediate care to the newborn after the mother has given birth, in turn is responsible for caring for the newborn while preparing his mother to go to recovery. It is also worth mentioning that it is in charge of keeping a control and recording of the necessary documents such as the name, surname, date and time of birth, height, weight and all circumferences (cephalic, thoracic and abdominal), it must keep a record of footsteps on 6 different pages.
