In the age where 24hours isn't enough, finding the right balance between family, love life, career, fun time and other things, contributes to the quality of life. It takes discipline and courage to life a well rounded life void of stress and heartache.
No one said managing a career was easy, not to mention throwing relationship or family into the mix. There is more to life than working or career, but quality time needs to be given to loved ones, fun with friends and taking care of ones health. So how can you joggle your activities and find balance ensuring a happier life? Here are some tips to pull it together.
- Prioritize. Sometimes, life forces some option on us for higher preference. This may involve shifting focus from one option to another. But, that doesn't mean we should forfeit that aspect of our life. We may focus on career at some point, possibly because you have a professional exam or sometime but we shouldn't forfeit our relationship and family for it as we need people to celebrate with when the promotion comes.
Prioritizing doesn't mean sacrificing an aspect of our life. It means creating a platform for all area and aspect of our lifes to develop. Priority Changes with time.
Manage your Time. This is a major reason for break down in relationship, career and health. People in your life may have reached out to you at a point inorder to extend love and care. It's important to extend such gesture in return. Create quality time and manage it. Go on a trip with family and friends, run a marathon (you don't have to win but get to the finish line), go for your faith meetings, go for a checkup..... Maximise the time available.
Knowing When to Quit. We've all spoken against quitting, but knowing when something isn't working with you and for you and getting out of it is a great character trait. Evaluate, take an inventory of your life and establish an effective and balanced life.
Remember, balance is the spice of life. You can have it all.
