Happy Easter for all! Hallelujah!!! Today is the last day of the Week of the Year, one of the most important days of Christianity, since the resurrection of Jesus Christ is the basis of the faith of our church.
For being such a special day, I want to close my week of Sacred Music for Holy Week with a deserved Alleluia. Being this one of the most used and interpreted by the choral music, there are too many composers who have made their contribution. However, I chose the young composer Jake Runestad.
Alleluia | Jake Runestad
In this video we can see the world premiere of this contemporary work, which took place on February 21, 2014 at the Teatro Granada in Santa Bárbara, California with the choral group Lake Vocal Artists under the direction of Dr. Brady Allred, This being one of the best interpretations that can be found on the web.
I hope you have enjoyed this compilation of sacred choral music that I prepared with great love for this special week, as is Holy Week. Each day of it has a feeling, an interpretation and an environment that composers bring to music and we singers to interpretation.
Thanks to all the people who were aware of the work I did this week and apologize for the bad, I am always willing to receive constructive criticism to improve. I also hope you enjoyed this Alleluia, one of the happiest I've been able to sing, worthy of a day as important as the Easter ... Thank you again and may God bless you!
