Take it easy, please
Arsenal lost 4-0 against Liverpool and everybody was quick to say the performance was awful, and Arsenal would never get into top four. Well..The performance was awful, and Holding played like a reserve centre back for a League 2 team. Overall the team failed and despite how bad Holding played it was a collective collapse. It's fair enough to lose against Liverpool at Anfield, but we probably should have scored against their defense who most of all reminds me of the time Arsenal once played with Squillaci and Djourou at the same time. After Liverpool game people were furious, but people got absolutely crazy when we lost against Stoke. The match against Stoke was what made the whole shit blow up. I understand the frustration of my fellow Arsenal fans, but a loss against Stoke away is not something to go nuts about. Of course, it's frustrations that were build of during the transfer window, Sanchez not signing a new contract, and Wenger not buying a replacement for Cazorla even though a blind man can see we lack a creative midfielder. But still. Take a chill pill, Kill Bill. A defeat against Stoke followed by a defeat against Liverpool doesn't look good on paper, but neither do Tottenham's home record this season.
So the defeats against Liverpool and Stoke made every Arsenal go nuts. But we have to remember both of them were away. Of course, we should have at least drew against Stoke, and it's pure luck for Stoke we didn't. It's not a disaster to lose against Liverpool and Stoke away.
So far we are unbeaten in September. We played 0-0 against a strong Chelsea team, and our defense looks better and better for each game, but Mustafi has to stop doing sliding tackles in the box. Times are getting better and we have easy fixtures coming which should be enough for us to be in top four by the end of November.
