What’s up, everyone? :D
This is my second entry to the #trialbycomics contest. This week's theme is Mythology, so I spent many hours looking for creatures on the internet XD
Quetzalcoatl was one of the most important gods in the ancient Mesoamerica. Its name comes from the Nahualt language and is composed of two words: quetzal which means feathered bird and coatl which means snake. In other civilizations, it's known by the name of Kukulcan or Gucumatz.
The origin of this God goes back to the Olmec civilization. During the centuries in which this God was adorned, Quetzalcoatl was seen as the God of vegetation, of life and water. This was indispensable for the farmers, that's why they referred to him as the God of Creation, a giver of life.
Here you can see the head sculpted in rock of the God Quetzalcoatl
This God is associated with Tezcatlipoca a lot. The first one is a giver of life and the second one created the world. Quetzalcoalt is also called White Tezcatlipoca. Some believe that these gods are twins.

As I did with Ammit (my first entry), I didn't worry about the lines and I wanted to give both drawings a rough look. To be honest, I had no idea what I was doing, haha. I found a way to simulate reptile skin and draw it in a short time because I didn't want to spend hours making the skin of the snake.
Well, that’s all for today. Hope you liked it. Bye, guys! <3
