When you were playing in the playground or with your siblings as a toddler, what did your mother teach you?
“Share your cookies and toys!”
That was our first lesson in sharing and getting on with other people, wasn't it!
- Well in business, it’s the same. You gain more by sharing, than holding onto important info and been mean. Playing nice is creating good public relations!
- When someone asks a shop assistant for help, the best policy is for him or her to give help and assist the person. Been nasty and unhelpful would affect the sales of the shop!
So it is with blogging.
Giving the best service:
- Sharing your marbles, is sharing what you know, through sharing your experiences and skills.
- Sharing your cookies, is sharing the good, tasty things. It could be recipes and free downloads. Or exciting facts… that will sweeten the lives of those who read your blogs.
- Sharing your toys, is sharing how things work. Putting things into action, into what you say and do. And supplying demos and instructions on how to do things.
Building relationships:
- Talking about things others can relate to.
- Conversation is a `two way street’: Listen to what people are saying. And where possible acknowledging those who leave comments on your blogs and praising those who leave relevant input.
- If there is a need, try to follow up, with info or come back in another blog with the full load-down on the topic.
- Always been pleasant under pressure… not replying to ugly comments and ignoring hanger-on scams, to avoid unpleasant squabbles. As the saying goes: ` Less said, sooner mended!’
Result:
- Together we build not only good relationships, we build the community we are in, and in so doing build it’s good reputation.
- Friendly and united, we stand and benefit together. Strength of numbers gets more done and quicker!
- Sharing and working together as a formidable team, we create greater power, strength and drive. Thus, success can’t be held back from us.
If we want our sites to do well and trend quickly, we need better relationships and sharing of our marbles, cookies and toys, don’t you think!
