Superfoods is a word which is very commonly heard these Days mostly among Fitness Enthusiasts.
So what is a Superfood?
As much as I would like to have it, these are not Foods that Have Superpowers. Although it would have been awesome to have that.
In fact, Superfoods are foods that are low in calories and high in nutrients.
If I had to simplify it is a food with high content of health benefits such as; antioxidants, minerals, vitamins, essential fatty acids, proteins. All of these helps our Body to function properly and keeps us Healthy.
Benefits of Superfoods
1. Superfoods help us to increase the Energy level of our Body and it also helps us to be in a Balance state.
2. Superfoods can help you to prevent various Health Issues like Allergies, Digestion Problems, etc. They can also be used as a Detoxifying agent for your Body.
Availability of Superfoods
This is a point where there might be some Problem for some of you Guys. As most of the Superfoods are of Exotic Origins it is harder for many of us to find many. But you could use the Benefits of Locally Grown Superfoods.
You can find Broccoli, Spinach, Dark Chocolate, Nuts at any Grocery stores.
My Stand on Superfoods
I am not that enthusiastic about having superfoods but I do like to have Brocolli, Dark Chocolate and Nuts. Brocolli being the most favourite of mine among those three.
