Your decision to vote for a candidate shouldn't be determined by what group you belong to, but for universal principles. Nowadays people are so concerned about electing based off of gender, race, and other identities instead of looking at the core principles of the persons. Electing people based on MERIT is the only way to choose who is best suited for the job. But I do realize that a merit based system, implemented justly is something I can only wish for.
