Its Day 2 and its time for the City Dwellers to leave Town for Nature! From Christchurch, we headed West along Highway 73 towards Hokitika. Being city dwellers back in SG, what we saw as we left the concrete behind us were beautiful and amazing. As we slowly drove along, the mountains appeared behind the clouds in front of us.
And the first scenic viewpoint that we came across. Breathtaking @ Lake Lyndon
After a 2.5 hours drive, we got to our halfway mark at Arthur's Pass. Those who wants to take a hike on the Avalanche Peak Track and making a loop with Scotts, please be there early. We were there at about 2pm. Went halfway up Scotts Track thinking it was easier, only to stop after an hour up and heading towards the Devil PunchBowl instead.
Devil Punchbowl
We stayed a night at Hokitika, dropped by the Glowworms Dell at night after dinner. Small, simple town, away from the bustling. And the trip just gets more exciting as we looked forward to jumping from 15000ft at Fox Glacier.
