Hello everyone!
The past few days, my city has been pouring rain due to the impact of typhoon. I don't know for sure how Typhoon was, because I only read the leaflets announced by the Meteorology and Geophysics Agency in my city.
Not a heavy rain, but the whole city experienced a drizzle that didn't stop for the last 3 days. This makes me lazy to do any activities, and also if I order food online it will waste time, because it is very difficult to get delivery orders at all restaurants.
I looked, some of the ingredients in the kitchen, what can I make from the existing food ingredients. Because I also haven't shopped for 3 days, because I'm afraid the rain will get us drenched and we could get sick. Moreover, the corona virus has begun to mutate, which is being predicted by the latest variant of the virus, namely Omicron.
So, I got some raw ingredients in the form of mung beans. Mung bean is a food that is very easy to process, of course. I will make the juice from mung bean a warm drink later, so that our antibodies are strong to endure this prolonged rainy season. As for the beans, I will make a very simple snack to cook, namely Gandasturi.
Gandasturi? Surely hive friends will ask questions, what is Gandasturi?
Gandasturi is a snack in the form of mung bean wrapped in flour and then fried to make the taste even more delicious. Instead of being curious, let's look at the following recipe!
Gandasturi
Ingredients
- 250 grams of Mung beans
- 1 liter of water
- Salt
- Sugar
- 200 gr Palm sugar
- 100 gr wheat flour
- 50 gr rice flour
- Ginger
- Pandan leaves
How to Make Gandasturi
- Wash the mung beans with running water, then soak overnight. (if you want it easier, you can also cook the beans on low heat for 1 hour)
- Boil the mung beans with 1 liter of water, over low heat, then add the ginger and pandan leaves.
- After the water starts to shrink, add the palm sugar, stir a little so that the palm sugar is evenly mixed.
- Give a little salt and sugar, taste correction.
- When the water dries up, turn off the heat and set aside. Wait until the beans are completely cold. Because if it is shaped in a hot state, our hands can scald.
- After the mung beans have cooled, shape them into rounds, or you can do whatever you like. The important thing is that the beans can later be wrapped in flour.
- Heat the oil, try to deep fry it, friends!
- Combine flour and rice flour, add a little salt and sugar, mix well with water. Do not be too runny, the dough is a little thick so that the coating is perfect.
- Take the mung beans that have been shaped, put them into the flour mixture and then coat them evenly, try to make them perfectly coated.
- Then fry until golden brown.
- Remove and set aside, Gandasturi is ready to serve!
Easy isn't it? Gandasturi is one of the fried foods that I always buy when I buy fries, because it tastes sweet and I also really like mung beans!
Try it at home and feel the pleasure of Gandasturi friends!
