Dear friends of the decentralized web and Substratum HODLers!
On January 16th there will be a meetup at the Substratum office and around this date we will hear:
- The results of the latest private alpha test
- Some fresh insights on the current state of development
- the introduction of a new Substratum team member
- most likely when we can expect the public beta/v1 releases
I think, this will kill the FUD spread by some people over the past week and show us, where they really are at the moment.
Yes, we live in extremely fast times, where everyone is expecting everything to happen right this moment, but remember, that to build the decentralized web is no small feat and I´m sure, they want to deliver a working product instead of a shitty beta version, that everyone turns off.
Regarding SUB communication: I was always astonished how transparent they were over the past weeks, but through that, they have also set a high standard - so clearly people are demanding more at the moment - and yes, I also think they have made some mistakes, which is just human. In my view they should have clearly stated, that their current test just involves a handful selected people and never spoken of a "public beta" - maybe saying that somewhere in Q1 they will open the beta to a broader audience and have time to develop in peace.
So we have to give them the time to work on the release and don´t get impatient.
Nevertheless, now is a good time to join the SUB train, since around $2 it´s still cheap and we all got the chance to add some SUB to our stack and next week will definitely be big in news.
Keep calm and HODL on!
