My name is Austen, but my friends usually just call me "Osong" and I would like to share my travel experience here to Sabah, Malaysia. I truly believe that this is one of the most beautiful places to be in if you are visiting Asia. Situated on the beautiful island of Borneo, Sabah is one of thirteen states which Malaysia is made of and also shares the island of Borneo with Sarawak, Brunei & Kalimantan.
Here are some of the places that I would highly recommend to visit while you are here.
Tip of Borneo - Located in Kudat, northern most part of Sabah and is only about 3.5 hours drive from the capital city of Kota Kinabalu. Its definitely worth the drive up there and enjoy the amazing view.
Mesilau, Ranau - Located in the West Coast Division of Sabah, about 1,176 metres above sea level and about 2 hours drive from the capital. From a distance you could see Mount Kinabalu, a World Heritage Site height at 4095 metres. I look forward to climb Mt Kinabalu in the near future and share the amazing views with everyone here.
Mantanani Island - White sandy beach, located about 1 hour speedboat from Kuala Abai jetty, Kota Belud.
