Vanilla Ice Cream topped with Red Currant Sauce tastes delicious.
Some of you may not like the red currant tiny fruit or may not even know what that is...
When I was a kid I didn't like it very much but once I got a bit older things've changed.
Now, I like it!
I like it very much!!!
Today I have a recipe that I'd like to share with you.
It's a red current syrup.
It tastes sweet but at the same time it has a bit of bitterness.
It quite thick and it's great with desserts also on ice cream, waffle or with yogurt :)
Start by placing a 1.5 cup of red currant fruit in medium pot.
Add a cup of sugar.
Bring it to boil and continue cooking for 5 min mixing constantly. Leave it to cool off.
Next, pour it into the blender.
And blend it until smooth.
Return it into the pot.
Bring it to a boil and simmer for 8-10 min.
Let it cool of.
Pour it in to a small jar and keep it in the fridge :)
I like to use it with vanilla ice cream.
As you see, i use a generous amount of this delicious syrup.
Add some berries and a waffle tube...
mmm...mmm...that is so delicious :)))
ENJOY!!!
