These Red Mexican Bird of Paradise flowers are pretty awesome when they are in bloom and attract an assortment of desert wildlife, insects and interesting critters. Looking closely you can see the pollen and how easy this flower makes it for bees to pollinate.
Its starting to warm up now and will soon be hot as hell here in the desert, so I am enjoying the last few moments of temperatures under 100 degrees.
