As i reported a few days ago here about the absence of Malcolm Stewart from the opening round of Monster Energy Supercross it seems the 'last minute issue' has been resolved.
Malcolm Stewart will once again be throwing his leg over a factory bike! He flew out to Southern California earlier in the week and had a test ride for the Autotrader Yoshimura Suzuki Factory team JGR. He clearly must have impressed as he has just been confirmed as the stand in rider for the injured Justin Bogle. Stewart will jump into the mix straight away and will make his debut at Houston this weekend.

"WARNING: Content may melt the internet! We are excited to welcome @MalcolmStewart to the @AutoTrader_com @Yoshimura_RD @SuzukiCycles team. Malcolm will be filling in for the injured Justin Bogle on a race-by-race basis starting this weekend in Houston. Bogle sustained a concussion at the Monster Energy Cup and then sustained a similar injury a couple of weeks later, so is not able to race. There is no timeline on his recovery."
Malcolm Stewart had initially set up a privateer Kawasaki to compete in this years Monster Energy Supercross but was unable to get everything in place for round one. Seems that sent out the message to JGR that he was ready and the call was made.
Good luck Malcolm, i look forward to your return race this weekend :)
