Ain’t we living in the best era? We all know that whatever has an advantage also had a disadvantage. As some one who has been privileged to leave in three different decades and have ing seen how life progressed in these decades, I must say that this era is a good one.
The advancement of technology and how easy it has made life cannot even be over emphasized. I remember those early secondary school
Days when I just finished from secondary school and phones are in vogue yet.
I remember going to cyber centers to buy airtime just go send emails and chat with some of my school friends online. That was the only means of communication when someone wasn’t in near proximity.
From there we progressed to making use of pay phones. We had some persons who were finally able to buy those expensive phones and then open a pay phone call booths and over and over again, I have had to go to use their pay phones to make calls and pay per minute.
Then all of a sudden phones were literally everywhere and you can reachout to your loved ones in a twinkle of an eye. Life has never been far better, easier and more convenient. We live on the fast lane and that’s pretty okay.
The era of internet and digital life has made having access to a lot of knowledge so easy. We don’t have to dig in libraries any more for knowledge. They are all on the net. The internet ears has made life more valuable.
This era of AI is even madder than we can envisage. Work has been so easy and creativity has be on top notch. Things that ordinarily would take months to do can be done in hours. What a relieve.
Well, the era has be fraught with its own troubles as there are increased social pressure and vices but that’s okay as we would all be fine.
Do I mention the advancement that has halon the area of medical fields that have saved alot of lives. Do we know how many people would have died if not for the era we are living in.
I am sure our predecessors had their great moments of peace and ingenuity in the era they lived in but no, I would t want to go back to those good old days. I’d rather enjoy this recent good days too. They are have their shades of goodness and issues.
The advancement in technology and even movement is bae. I can travel long distances over minutes which ordinarily will take days and even months. The amount of suffering I went though traveling by bus to the west on a good day was so unbearable that we arrived the next day mid day. Only for me to embark on the same journey and got to my destination through flight in one hour.
And you say that I should want to go back to the olden days? Why? To enjoy tales by moonlight and what again? There may be no bonding time like we used to have those days but everyone is with their phones now and we should have our time of enjoying on our devices.
There’s no two ways about it. In this part of the world, we are obviously behind technology so some of the moving houses and roads I see online are something worthy to see. Technology has come to stay and we are living in a good era and hoping for better eras to come.
I do not want to go by to the eras before now or 100 years, Fatehr is there’s anywhere to go to, I’d love to time travel into the future to see what the era of the future holds for us.
