Greetings to all art lovers!
Today we will talk about one of the leading Impressionists of the XIX century - Pierre Renoir
"Piano Lesson", 1889
Future artist Pierre Auguste Renoir was born to a poor family living in the south of France. From a young age, he surprised people around him with his gift of drawing. Already in his childhood, in line with his studies at art school, the boy managed to help his parents, receiving good money to paint porcelain dishes.
After passing all the exams, the young man joined the ranks of School of Fine Arts students, where he met with like-minded people - Claude Monet, Basile, and Pissarro. They all liked Impressionism, but Renoir was the first to feel confession and recognition.

Throughout his life, even experiencing serious illness, the artist finds happiness in drawing. A certain principle in writing painting from Pierre is not - he prefers to spontaneously describe what he wants at some point, but more often the character of the canvas is women and children. Although it is common to call it Impressionists, men often use a variety of techniques and styles, and in a pure impressionism style it works no more than ten years.

The only break in his creative activities was participation in the Franco-Prussian war. Upon returning home, Pierre enthusiastically engages in creativity. During this period, the man recovered his communication with his old acquaintance and favorite model under the name Lisa Treo.
A little later in life the artist starts a new stage. This happened after Lisa left Pierre and got engaged to the others. Interest in Impressionism in Renoir begins to fade gradually, and to replace the previously classic style. Suddenly, a beloved woman appeared in the life of her master - a young Alin Sharigo, age difference of about twenty years.
Renoir's son, Jean, notes that the images of the chosen people can be traced in painters long before their acquaintances. In the couple's relationship, the break occurs many times, but Pierre and Alin are married. It was the years of family happiness that became the best in the life of a famous artist and gave him peace of mind.

At the turn of the 20th century, Renoir's health deteriorated significantly due to complications that occur due to hand fracture. However, despite constant rheumatism, the artist continues to create works of art, even sitting in a wheelchair. Paralyzed Pierre often visits Henri Matisse, and on one visit, the man asks the teacher the question of the meaning of his hard work, to which he replied:
"Pain passes, but beauty remains."
Until the last day of his life, Pierre Renoir continues to create. Death took him on December 3, 1919, the cause is pneumonia.
