The study revealed, only 20 percent of adults today consider the situation around good. The rest assume the world is no longer safe which ends with humans easily frightened, moody and unhappy.
Recently a Harvard researcher, Shawn Achor, gave tips for keeping people upbeat and becoming a fun person amid global problems in his book The Happiness Advantage. Research from the University of Pennsylvania revealed, the optimistic car sales - not made up - of course - able to sell 89 percent more than those who are negative. Other research says, 75 successful people are optimists.
Being a personal optimist and fun makes the body healthier. They are also not easy to experience insomnia and stress. Here are 5 simple ways to be optimistic :
- Learn to be Grateful
To start being optimistic, take a minute to see how lucky you are. Think of three reasons why you should be grateful. Starting from the little things. For example, "I'm grateful my son hugged me while I was at school, which means I'm loved." Another reason, it can be thought of is still able to eat today three times. Why be grateful is important? Be grateful to change your view. Research reveals if we build our view of the world based on the facts we have and if you are fixated on negative things, you have a negative world. Be grateful to help us build a world made of positive facts. Focusing on simple things in life, like the sun in the morning, is something anyone can do. We can all find these things everywhere. Research has also shown the benefits of a relationship for couples who exercise gratefully together at home on a regular basis. Hearing three things that make them grateful to each other gives more reason to like each other. Couples like this are reported to have more lasting relationships.
- Say Thanks
Having a habit of saying 'thank you' is a powerful thing for you to be an optimistic person. Way, every morning, select different people and send a text or email that contains a thank you. It does not have to be a close person, but it can be the services of people in the past like your teacher, coach, client or former co-worker. This step is taken because writing a thank you directly makes your mood changed happily. Not a bit, they will say the same thing.
- Seeing Meaning
Think about what happened in the last 24 hours. The trick, maybe just there is someone who holds the door for you, interesting conversation, or help people help. Within two minutes, list the details, including the weather, to your shirt color. Why can this turn you into an optimistic and liked person?. You try to relive the experience mentally, making it a meaningful event in your brain. Our brains can not distinguish much between visualization and actual experience, so this doubles the impact of the most positive moment of the day: a reminder that the day is valuable.
- Move around
Spend 15 minutes to half an hour each day for exercise. By moving, it means your heart is pumping blood circulation. This activity is the same as taking anti-depressant medication so you will be happy.
- Meditation
Two minutes each day to meditate. Stop what you are doing, focus on your breath.
Meditation gives the brain a new pattern, because it only concentrates on the breath making it switch from multitasking to single-tasking. Because your brain is usually bombarded with information - good and bad - makes it threatened to force it into a defensive mode.
