It had been months since I had last seen my friends, so I was excited when I made plans to meet up with them for a shabu-shabu buffet at a restaurant near Prince of Songkla University. I had found a great review of the restaurant on Facebook, and the pictures of the food looked delicious.
When we arrived at the restaurant, we decided to go for the buffet option, which included a wide variety of meats and other dishes to choose from. The buffet cost 499 baht per person, but it was worth it for the delicious wagyu beef, sliced pork, and other options.
We spent a good two hours chatting and eating together at the shabu-shabu restaurant, and then we decided to do some shopping at the nearby Central Floresta Department Store. The mall was filled with people, and there were long lines outside of stores like Gucci, Dior, Chanel, and Hermes. It was a strange sight, as we hadn't seen crowds like this in a long time.
After a while, we decided to try some fried ice cream, which was made by stirring yogurt and various toppings on a cold pan. The ice cream was then cut into a sheet and rolled into a cup, creating a delicious and refreshing treat.
Unfortunately, I had to leave early to pick up my son from school, so we said goodbye after a fun afternoon of catching up and trying new things. It was great to see my friends again after so long, and I was already looking forward to our next outing.
