Vitebsk railway station - the oldest railway station in St. Petersburg and Russia.
Vitebsk is the very first station in Russia. The first one-storey wooden building was erected in 1837 for the first in Russia Tsarskoselskaya railway, which connected St. Petersburg and Tsarskoe Selo. The movement on the section St. Petersburg - Tsarskoe Selo was solemnly opened on October 30 (November 11) in 1837.
