Having a movie you produced on Amazon is an interesting experience. Especially a movie that is very disturbing to many people, not the positive image of the gay community they want to hear.
One reviewer on Amazon wrote "this movie reminded me of my own short-lived modeling career. I can't say that I liked the movie, but it was realistic and well done. Too well done. It brought back things I'd rather not remember. The modeling business, especially in the pre-AIDS days was brutal - in many ways. I'm glad I got out before anything worse happened to me."
Screening at Film Festivals and Theaters gives you very little feedback, unless people walk out muttering. Online, people feel free to comment. Some are trolls living in their mom's basement, but others, like your film or not, have valid comments and insights. Some got the Warhol inspired character studies, others really hated them. Many found the sex scenes too brutal; I think I did too.
Online makes film more like live theater, it makes it a more interactive experience. I would invite you personally to watch the film and review it, good or bad. It is free on Amazon if you have Amazon Prime, and three dollars if you do not. Anyone with their own experience should share it in their review or writing me here.
I look forward to hearing from you.
