Nom Nom Indeed... I like making little snacks and baking more than just cooking something and throwing 2 ingredients together. For some appetizers I made a little dish called "Pretentious Nom Noms" and they were delicious if you are into savory things.
I really dig purple sweet potato chips with sea salt so used those as a base then garnished with a bit of a spring mix that had some color and tang. Wailana Rosemary Herb chips are a nice and neutral chip to use instead of just some boring cracker or pita chip. I then put a really soft and nice mix of cream cheese with some lox in it and a bit of a Gorgonzola and topped with Icelandic wild caught Black Capelin Caviar.
I finished it off with a spritz of lemon and some freshly cracked peppercorns. The super duper pretentious part is that then I just put it on an Olive wood platter that has a lovely grain made by an Italian grove "Arte Legno". Good stuff and the best part is that I put all that together for around 30 bucks and it made a lot of people happy. It pairs magnificently with a white wine which also probably made this taste better! :)
