Most first officers qualify in 3 years depending on the individual, but some cadet programs have a very high intensity and can see you qualify in 2.5 years. Compared with other degrees that normally take 4 years to qualify.

Due to the variety of opportunities you meet a diversity of people from influential individuals (Country Leaders and States Representatives) to the down right crazy (Jumping out a perfectly working aircraft), so you will never be limited to new relationships you can create.

Working for the airlines you will get discounted rates on flying for your private recreation, so you can take your family to some of the awesome destinations you visit on a regular basis, some airlines will even let you fly for free when you work for them.
I don't see Doctors or Engineers enjoying such perks in those respective fields. #Justsaying

Associated with a dream job many people want to be pilots, so once you have achieved that goal there will be many people who will look up to you as a role model and the Title will place you in high esteem.
