I have a concern, but I'd like to start by saying I am loving the Steemit Community!
I am here to stay! I can’t wait to see where we go from here!
For a person who is in this for the long haul, what is the best way to maximize my potential? In my opinion, it is to continually work on increasing my Steem Power.
The Problem
After earning $10 Steem Dollars over my first weekend I wanted to power up in order to gain influence and voting power. I consider this an excellent way to invest in Steemit.
I went to my Steemit wallet, clicked the arrow next to my STEEM DOLLAR balance and selected Convert to STEEM.
The following message popped up: "This action will take place one week from now and can not be cancelled. These Steem Dollars will immediately become unavailable."
I didn’t worry too much as I have grown accustomed to these long processing times in the crypto world. I went ahead and clicked on the Convert button.
As soon as the screen refreshed, my Steem Dollars were nowhere to be found, which I thought was kind of strange. There was/is no STEEM in my account. I looked around for a way to verify that the transaction was processing or pending and couldn't find anything.
Part of the problem is I can't remember exactly what day I initiated the transaction! LOL! So, I am sitting here wondering to myself what is going on? I'm glad there are only $10 Steem Dollars in question. I would really be concerned if this had happened with a larger sum.
I thought maybe I could find an article or tool out there somewhere to help me verify if this is normal. I have searched all over Steemit and even googled my question and haven't found the answer.
Is this Normal or have I been hacked?
I have more Steem Dollars that I want to power up but I am not willing to try it again until my concerns are resolved.
Please help me get powered up!
