Who Doesn't Like A Little Bit Of Comfort? ..
I know I do, and if I am speaking for Molly (which I often do because of her refusal to learn how to speak human), she does too! When she's not waiting by the front door, to either greet guests or growl at foe, she is waiting for the laundry to come out of the dryer.
Okay, maybe there is some blogging exaggeration in that last sentence, but I'm not too far away from the truth. Of course there are a bunch of other things she waits for, including food and cookies.
It seems like every time we do the laundry, Molly is close by waiting for the stuff to come out of the dryer. Shirts, pants, towels, sheets.. Doesn't matter to her, it's all the same when its warm and soft.
Her favorite, paws down, are towels and sheets. We try not to just take them out, throw them on the floor, and leave them there until they are nice and wrinkled, but she makes it so hard to get that folding finished. We just hate to disturb the princess while she takes a warm nap in the freshly laundered softness.
Runner up these days seems to be the bed she got for Christmas this year. It's super plush and folds in around her when she lays in it. She wasn't sure about it at first, but has quickly become one of her favorite spots. She's so stinkin cute when she's in there too! I wonder how many photos of her in that bed I will have in another years time?? Yeah, I have the classic.. 'I take too many photos of my sleeping dog' .. problem.. lol.
Sometimes some shenanigan's happens in that there bed.. We don't discuss it. A dog just has to take care of things every once in a while. If your a dog or cat owner, you know what I'm talking about. If not, well then... (see photo) hahahaha...
Runner up to the second spot is a bunch of other locations. Lots and lots and lots of comfy spots. BUT! If the sun is out and its Saturday morning, you may just find her with me in the office/studio soaking up those warm rays in .. You guessed it .. Another comfortable spot.
I Could Go On and On ..
But I'll stop here for today. Trust me, I have lots of opportunities to capture her just laying around getting all comfortable. There WILL be more to come on this topic. I can assure you of that.
“Winter is the time for comfort, for good food and warmth, for the touch of a friendly hand and for a talk beside the fire: it is the time for home.”
― Edith Sitwell

About Me ~ The Artist
My art work incorporates a wide variety of subject matter, including landscape, seascape, cityscape, and still life images. My works are the product of a continuing process of exploration through which I seek to portray personal and visionary interpretations of my surroundings. My paintings are impressions of places and events from everyday life, an interpretation of my imagination, and personal responses to what I see and feel on a daily basis. More recently I have invested generous amounts of time into my landscape painting. I am surrounded by natural and man made beauty, which inherently presents itself in the tri-state area, and almost demands that I paint it.
Not everything is art. Art is not everything, but it comes close. Art is everywhere and all the time. Art makes you experience the beauty of the world, the people in it, and the places we call home. Art itself is so influential that it can tell stories, show feelings, and express passion or fury. Art exists in addition to language; expression of sensations and thoughts, revealing a way of thinking too subtle and delicate for words.
For me art requires love, honesty and perseverance. In return, it reveals some personal, non-analyzable, and creative untamed passion. For the public, art with its magnificent beauty, improves mood and health and builds better human beings and communities. It engages the intellect, softens the heart, strengthens the soul and frees the spirit.
