It's been about a month since I've had my pouring table and even though the paint build up hasn't reached the top of the mesh I figured it was time to give it a good clean and start over.
Because I had layers of foil over waterproof table cloth all I needed to do was roll the foil up, take the timber slats out....
... and give the cloth a quick wipe down.
The time consuming and hardest part was scraping the dry paint off the mesh but I eventually got there. Barely in one piece... Oh my back.. Oh my ass.. Oh everything else 😣
It was worth it though.
A cup of coffee gave me the oomph I needed to take the curtains down and put the bamboo up.
I don't think it gives as much privacy as the curtains during the day but at night the curtains are practically see through anyway so it didn't really make that much of a difference on that front. At least the bamboo looks heaps nicer and matches the deck roof.
That said, we need more bamboo to close off the section. The whole point of the curtains and bird mesh was to have an enclosed space to stop the birds and possums from eating the succulents.
One day in and so far so good. No plant casualties!
And here's the new view from the office :)
Love how I can see more of the yard now 😍
The aches and pains I'm feeling today is definitely worth it. I missed seeing the view from the top deck
