Ok, first thing's first.
I don't have gestational diabetes!

I celebrated by having cake for breakfast.
Don't worry I didn't eat it all.
I put it together on Saturday to see if I could make my baby shower cake and obviously, by the looks of it, it's a big fat no. It actually made me appreciate the work and craftsmanship involved in making cakes.
The good news is I found a cake lady and have her lined up. š
Another thing that's lined up is baby shower gifts thanks to grandma, my stash of succulents and a trip to Bunnings over the weekend.
I figured with time quickly running out I need to get as much as I can organised now so this is me this morning.
Got some big ones, small ones ~ all different types.
Hopefully I can keep them alive til then.
I figured as a back up, I better water the others just in case they do die or the wind destroys them.
The succulents are amazingly hardy. Well most of them anyway. I'm terrible with watering plants and these get watered about once a month.
I found the ones in containers with no drainage holes are doing much better than the ones with. I'm guessing there's a water reservoir in the container the plants can draw from?
There's a general belief that succulents don't do well in terrariums because of the moisture but I will have to disagree. I found terrariums to be brilliant for succulents and noticed they thrive in them.
Something to think about if you notice your succulents are on the brink of death. I've mounted several, successful, succulents rescues by putting them in a terrarium.
Here's one of my terrariums.
These have grown so much since I planted them weeks ago š
And that's about it!
It's still windy as.f up here which means the grow house is broken again and I can't varnish any paintings.
Hoping it'll settle down soon and we'll finally be rid of these super windy days. Last thing I need is bad weather for the baby shower.
Hope ya'll are having a great Wednesday!!
