Who knew today's 1980's theme would bring up so many fond memories?
Sure the old Walkman has nothing on the iPod, but still it was awesome for it's time and I absolutely loved mine... Never left home without it. Come to think of it, I haven't really changed much - my iPod is always on me.
Today was met with technical difficulties which resulted to me having to factory reset my phone, again. .. twice in as many weeks.. Unfortunately the process android.process.media has stopped. and it happens when I try to open a file hubby sends me via email.
There is no fix for my phone aside from the factory reset. Thank god I have the laptop now :)
Oh... I didn't tell you? Ben organised his Dad's old laptop for me to use until I get my own. It's been a total blessing - now if only we have internet. For the last 16 months I've been surviving on 2gb of mobile data a week between saving for a house and living in the mountains this is what I'm stuck with for now... well on my own anyway, when Ben's home I tether my little heart out :D
Which is exactly what I've been doing all day. My phone and laptop are tethered, so I can do my thing, surf, get some music, jump on here all while my phone is sorting itself out.
Realising today that I've ever since I got my first Walkman I never went without music. Realising how music fuels me - I felt the need to find some new tunes here's a few of my new finds.
Now.. I'm a bit of a hermit and I rarely go out, and I haven't had the luxury of unlimited internet to browse YouTube like I used to so these songs may not be news to you but they are to me.
Paloma Faith - Never Tear Us Apart
Released by INXS in 1987 (An Aussie icon in the 80's - oh hello!) this song is a true classic. Paloma's voice and attitude does justice to this song.
Calum Scott - Dancing On My Own
The first time I heard this I was out somewhere and I remember thinking to myself I need to go get it. That was ages ago lol you guys are probably over it.
Lukas Graham - 7 Years
Another song I heard ages ago but never knew who sang it or what it was called. It's definitely going on the old playlist.
and a little change of pace....
Justin Timberlake - Can't Stop the Feeling
It's really catchy.. Like my feet are tapping on their own.
DNCE - Cake By The Ocean
I wan't cake by the ocean!! Seriously butt moving beats. Sometimes I can't even hear the words I'm just hearing beats :D
I hope you're all having a great weekend!
