It's the middle of the weekend, a little past the middle actually, and it's been a good one so far with some more of that to come I think. I'd not planned to do anything much other than stay home over the weekend although decided to look for plants for my garden which meant a trip to the plant nursery which I love doing.
They have a little cafe there so I took my current book called The Fraud, by Zadie Smith, and thought I'd sit for a while, have some tea and a little cake while reading surrounded by plants and flowers everywhere.
I took this image
After my tea and reading I wandered rows and rows of flowers reading the labels and deciding which ones would work where in my garden, making sure I had the right colors and types to fit into what's already there. I made some selections, went to some other areas of the nursery for some little bits and pieces and then through the register before making my way home. It was all quite relaxing and enjoyable.
On the way home my guy called me, he's been away doing guy-things, and he told me he's going to be home a little latter than expected but he was bringing dinner with him which made me happy; we don't eat much take-out food but when it happens I enjoy it because there's no cooking and cleaning up is easy too. He'll be here soon and my guess is Thai food because he's mentioned it a few times in the last month or so. I'm ok with that.
I didn't put my plants in today, I'll do that tomorrow, but I worked out a perfect place for them and am really excited about how they'll look. As for the rest of the weekend, there's not much happening but we'll be spending it together and that's good enough.
