( EN / DE ) Although my feet and legs feel as if I had a mile-long walk behind me, this was not a #wednesdaywalk in the classic sense today. Weeds in the vegetable patch is really fascinating, while some vegetables must be nurtured and cared for to become large, this seems to be no problem at all for a weed.
Obwohl sich meine Füsse und Beine so anfühlen, als hätte ich einen kilomterlangen Marsch hinter mir, war dies heute doch kein #wednesdaywalk im klassischen Sinne. Unkraut im Gemüsebeet ist wirklich faszinierend, während manch Gemüspflanze gehegt und gepflegt werden muss um groß zu werden, scheint das für ein Unkraut überhaupt kein Problem zu sein.

Vor allem im Garten merkt man schon, dass ich dieses Jahr noch nicht so fit und einsatzbereit war, aber auch, dass mein Dad Knie Probleme hat. So hat sich nicht nur wegen des langen Regenwetters einiges an Arbeit angestaut und wir sind mit dem Pflanzen dieses Jahr weit hinterher.

Hier der Giersch zum Beispiel. Ich weiß schon, dass man ihn essen kann und er sehr gesund ist, aber wenn der erst einmal sein Wurzelsystem über ein Gemüsebeet ausbreitet, dann hat sonst kaum eine Pflanze eine Chance, also muss er dort leider weg.

That has been four huge bags full of organic waste. Well, but now it already looks pretty neat and it will soon be time to put the little plants grown from seeds in the ground. Whereby the weather is strange this year, somehow nothing really wants to grow. A few peas and radishes are already planted and the strawberries are soon ripe, that's it so far.
Das waren vier riesige Säcke voll mit Biomüll. Nun, aber jetzt sieht es schon recht ordentlich aus und es wird bald Zeit, die kleinen aus Samen gezogenen Pflänzchen in die Erde zu setzten. Wobei das Wetter wirklich sonderbar ist, irgendwie will nichts so richtig wachsen. Ein paar Erbsen und Radieschen sind schon gepflanzt und die Erdbeeren sind bald reif, das war es bis jetzt.

Wenn man dann noch ein wenig durch den Garten geht, dann findet man vieles, das Balsam für die Seele ist. Die Kräuterspirale zum Beispiel! Schnittlauch, Thymian, Salbei und Rosmarin blühen so wunderschön und locken auch viele Bienen an.

Und gerade noch am letzten Tag des Monat Mai sind heute die Pfingsrosen aufgeglüht. Ihre volle Pracht werden sie erst entfalten, dennoch sind sie jetzt schon so schön.
