Today I felt it again. Finally. After so many years. I was hesitant about the martial arts training at first, I didn’t quite connect with the teacher, he was talking a little too much, and so on – but today it clicked. He had taken my feedback into account, and did some tweaks to the lessons he’s giving Kami and me. And I felt the Ki flowing again. How my mind just sparked on, aware of every fiber in my body and focused like it hadn’t been all day.
It was a slow day, tired, with almost nothing going by plan. Okay, the bread experiment did work out very well, but with delays due to everything else happening. Gym session was great, I’m handling the new weights better every time, and will soon be able to up the repetitions. I met with a dear friend for coffee after a long time. We went to a new place, and it was really shitty and a lot more presentation than actual quality, but our conversations were great. He’s going through a rough patch, too.
When I was just leaving the underwhelming restaurant, another friend called, in breakdown. I waited for him on the street hugged him for a minute (fortunately, no other car came as he parked in the middle of the street and asked me to drive), and then I drove him around for a little while he was telling me what had happened. He has a great support network and always takes the right action, which is letting us know before anything bad happens.
I did accomplish a few things in the afternoon, too, but what really got me was that feeling in the movements. Remembering them. There’s always similarities between the different Martial Arts, and my favorite was Kung Fu (Shaolin style, or so the master said, I don’t know too much about that). And it did help to wake me up, too, and get through a very long, but also very productive meeting that started at 7.45pm and went for 2h. Pretty awesome.
I’m still quite energized, so I might just get ready for bed and then play a little Splinterlands. I still have to get some battles done before EOS tomorrow… Have a good night!
