Apologies for the hiatus in the Giveaway... I was just waiting for some local STEEM disagreements to settle down before handing out he prizes to the last round! Anyway, it appears that things have quietened down to a more reasonable solution...
Thanks to everyone who responded to the last SBI question (Sugaring a Pancake...)... it appears that just like buttering crackers... most people have it completely wrong! Or have deviant tastes...
When we come to live in a different country, we all have varying degrees of culture shock.... one of the more interesting culture shocks that I had when I first arrived here in The Netherlands from Australia was the way that the locals sometimes split the bills...

My Question
- How do you split the bills when you go out to dinner with a group of people?

My sample answer
In The Netherlands, something that was quite interesting to me was the concept of splitting bills. In Australia, unless there is a huge discrepancy between diners in a group, we tend to just split the bill evenly.... however, in The Netherlands, it is more common to split the bill according to what you actually ordered, ate and drank!
Now, in many ways, this is probably a more equitable split of the bill... however, at some points it can get to be a bit too much! Once when my wife went to a dinner at someone's place where it was a pot luck (bring a food dish...) sort of meal... after the dinner, an email was sent out by the hosts to ask everyone to tally up how much their meal that they made (or drinks bought...) cost... and then everyone would contribute more or less depending on how much they spent on their meal! It even got into cents....
Of course, that is an extremely extreme example... but it can happen! Not often, thankfully.... Still, if I am with friends from other countries... we tend to just split the bill evenly... however, when I am with work colleagues, we tend to just pay for what we had!

Steem Basic Income
One of the first communities that I came in contact with at the beginning of my time at Steemit was . As a author starting out on your fresh new Steemit account, Steemit can be a daunting and lonely place to be. OFten, it can feel like you are posting into an abyss with no one listening and with no ability to grow out of the situation. A share of Steem Basic Income gives you a guaranteed vote on one post a day, thus giving you a small but over time cumulative support to your account to help grow you out of your initial wilderness!
With this post, I want to help sponsor people who might not even have the spare 1 STEEM that is required for registration. So, when this post pays out, I will sponsor people depending on the payout of this post. Basically, I will round up the SBD payout from this post and then that will be the number of people I will sponsor. (So, if the payout is 2.3 SBD, I will sponsor 3 people). OF course, this is not simply an altruistic move, as the sponsor of a Steem Basic Income share also gets a share, so it is a great way to help others whilst helping yourself!

Last week's winners
The last post paid out 0 SBD and 1.099 STEEM in liquid earnings. So, that would make 2 shares.
